Dog Topics News is a site for dog lovers and it's designed to allow you to: share and discover dog news, stories, articles and videos; read and take part in discussions; and network with others. The site is owned and run by Clare from DogTopics.com

There are so many websites, blogs and news sites for dog lovers that it's difficult to keep up with all the information, and it's easy to miss out on news and articles.

Dog Topics News solves this problem by asking its users to bring their favourite articles, stories, videos and photos to this site so they can share them with others.

By voting on the content you like, you help the Dog Topics News community decide what stories are the most important/interesting. The more votes a story has the longer it stays on the Published News Page - and if the story links to your web site, then you'll probably notice an increase in traffic to your site as readers visit your site to read the article.

How to Get Started

You don't need to be a registered user to read the stories on Dog Topics News, but if you want to make a comment on a story you've read, vote for a story or submit you own story, you'll need to register.

To Register:

Click on the Join Us link in the green bar at the top of the page and you'll be asked to enter a username and password together with your email address. Your email address is not visible to other users - see our Privacy Policy.

• The Published News page shows you the stories and discussions within the site that have been voted on most recently by the Dog Topics News community.

• To be on the Published News page, a post must receive at least 5 votes.

• The Upcoming News page shows all the recently submitted stories, with the most recently submitted story at the top. If a story doesn't receive 5 votes within 10 days of being submitted, the post is automatically discarded, which means that it won't appear on the Upcoming News page any longer.

The next 10 stories to be discarded are always listed in the Soon to Expire box in the sidebar.

• To share a story or video with others, use the Submit A New Story tab and then your submission will appear within the Upcoming News area.

You can submit an article, photo or video - just follow the instructions in the three step process and our Posting Guidelines.

• Dog Topics News makes it easy to see who is submitting stories and making comments. The Top Users tab shows the most active members of the community and you can add these people as your friends in your profile.
